ergo.corsa custom rearsets
ergo.corsa custom rearsets are now
available. These are not adjustable, rather custom made for you and your bike.
The brackets are machined to your specifications, positioning the peg where you
want it. The footpeg length and amount of grip are specified by you. Unlike all
the other rearsets on the market, ergo.corsa can lower as well as raise the
pegs (relative to OEM). You will get very light, simple, functional rearsets
made just for you.
features
footpeg position
Today’s wide selection of adjustable rearsets allow
movement of the footpeg up or back, but generally do not allow movement forward
or downward. On sportbikes of old, which
were designed to actually be rideable on the street, this made sense. These days sportbikes are very nearly
racebikes as delivered from the factory.
The pegs are high and the bars low, and typically these machines are
designed with a certain size person in mind who is not very tall. Regardless of
your size, ergo.corsa rearsets will allow you to postion your feet so
you can be more comfortable and ride faster and harder.
footpeg
length
Most pegs are about 100mm long. This is fine for many setups, but in some
cases when the rider desires the pegs to be lower, it becomes necessary to
shorten the footpegs in order to maintain ground clearance. It is surprising how short pegs can be
without losing functionality. When the
bike’s lean angle exceeds 45 degrees, the length of the footpeg becomes more
important than the position. Envision a
bike that is nearly horizontal and it becomes clear how important the length is
for ground clearance. Are you dragging
your toes a lot but don’t like the idea of raising your pegs? The answer is shorter pegs. Your knee angle won’t change, but you’ll be
dragging your toes a lot less.
footpeg grip
This is a very important characteristic. Some riders like to be able to move a foot
around while others prefer pegs that bite deeply into the boot sole. This is a matter of personal preference, and
so ergo.corsa offers the rider pegs that are the correct length and have the
right amount of grip.
engineering
ergo.corsa components are designed,
with copius input from racers, by a mechanical engineer with significant experience
in the field of mechanical design, analysis, and testing. We gaurantee our parts will not fail in
normal use and will survive most crashes without catastrophic failure. However we aim to make the rearsets not so
strong as to be capable of damaging the mounting points on the motorcycle
frame. In a violent enough crash the
rearsets will break without transfering excessive loads into the frame.
rider support &
satisfaction
We want you to be comfortable on your bike. We will make our best attempt at finding the
right position for your feet. This of
course is highly dependent on you and your riding
experience. We realize that there is a
chance that you may not be happy, and if this is the case we will make it
right, even if it means making a whole new set of parts.
